Following his school days, Lars joined the military in which he completed his military basic service for nine months within the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. He was not convinced that the military was right for him so he began to look for something different and eventually chose to study biology. While he was occupied with this , which was already half a year, Anette came home from an juggler's class and showed him how skilled she was at perform juggling after just three days. Lars was very pleased with this and was eager to try it. So, he dropped out college and went to the juggler's academy. He learned fire breathing and juggling at this school. He then travelled with two of his friends through Europe as touring artists, performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. He came across a circus for children the following year, and he learned both children's and street theatre as well as pantomime.
