Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC other fighter, is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was a professional who started her professional journey in 2003, won in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were staged in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko began her professional MMA career in 2002 with an impressive win against Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She came back with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities in the final clinch by using knees on the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi in an undisputed split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. It was the best fight of night for the fight.
